Acronis Software: Antivirus & Other Security Program Exclusions

In some situations, a security program like virus scanner or other security suites blocks the functionality of the product. You can solve such issues by adding program folders or executable to exclusion or to whitelist.

After adding Acronis software components/folders to security program exclusions list, is vital to restart all Acronis services to sync up the changes. If services are not restarted, then security program may continue blocking Acronis components.

Note: “Cyber Protect Agent Assistant.app” and “Cyber Protect Monitor.app” are the names currently used. Double-check if you are not using the latest version.

Linux

Acronis files are located under the following paths

/var/lib/Acronis
/etc/Acronis
/usr/lib/Acronis
A separate folder for scripts (for example for WebCP protection plans in WHM\CPanel integrations):
/usr/bin/acronis_*

Acronis also stores logs in the following folders:
/var/log/Acronis
/opt/acronis/

Please add following program folders to your list of exclusion or white list:
