Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud: Agent installation fails with "Failed to install the Visual C++ Redistributable Package"
Symptoms
Agent installation on a Windows machine fails with the following error:
Error 0x627536: Failed to install the Visual C++ Redistributable Package
Cause
Windows Update KB2919355 is not installed on the system. This update is mandatory for Visual C++ Runtime. See Prerequisites section in Update for Universal C Runtime in Windows for details.
Solution
Enable Windows update to get the latest updates with the necessary components for Visual C++ Runtime. Please be aware that in some cases updates may be installed in several stages, so the machine may need to be restarted several times before the necessary update is installed in the system. To check the list of installed Windows updates go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> View installed updates.
After installing Windows updates, reattempt Backup Agent installation.
